Wren and Cuff Fine Stompboxes
**To those purchasing, or considering purchasing a Pickle Pie please know that there has been a change made to the paint used for the pedal. The paint is now the same color, but DOES NOT HAVE THE SPARKLE FINISH. I have switched to a new solid color paint which is much more durable, consistent, and less prone to chipping. I will have new pics up soon, but for now just know that everything is exactly the same, even the same shade of green, just sans sparkles. Thanks!
This may be the only fuzz you'll need.
Fast Shipping, Awsome Packing and the pedal is perfect. Thanks so much.

THERE IS NOW A MID-FLAT MOD AVAILABLE FOR THE PICKLE PIE. THIS MOD SIMPLY ADDS A TOGGLE SWITCH TO THE PEDAL THAT ALLOWS YOU TO FLATTEN THE PICKLE'S CHARACTERISTIC MID-SCOOP GIVING YOU A WHOLE NEW RANGE OF TONES. WITH THE SWITCH DISENGAGED, THE PICKLE'S ORIGINAL CIRCUIT IS 100% UNTOUCHED. IF YOU'D LIKE TO ADD THIS MOD, IT IS $9.99.
More info: Mid-flat switch modification.
Just purchase in the Stompbox Store and you'll be all set!
That being said, I do want to stress that this pedal is a wonderful stompbox without this mod, and you purists will be more than happy with the original version. The new bass clips have examples with this mod, and I will be adding guitar clips with the mid-flat mod soon.
Bass players. I have recently found out that some bass players have really been enjoying using the Pickle Pie as a heavy bass fuzz, so I put it in the listing title. This Muff-related fuzz has all the low-end girth you could need, and it's input and out capacitors can more than handle the lowest range of even a 5 string bass. All the info below applies to guitars, but if you need more info just email me: matt@wrenandcuff.com.
After several requests, I have added some clips of the Pickle Pie used with a bass for those of you who'd like to hear it.
Pickled Bass Clips
Ahh fuzz. Most guitarists have had a love/hate relationship with the repeated squashing, squishing, and mangling of a guitar signal commonly known as "fuzz". It's no wonder. Use it right, and you can have a tone smooth as velvet, with balls as big as an elephant. Use it wrong and you can have a muddy mess that disappears when the band kicks in, or a nasally buzz that sounds like a mosquito took up residence in your ear.
Well if you've been searching for the Holy Grail of fuzz, you have just found it.
What is the Pickle Pie Fuzz? The Pickle Pie Fuzz is my take on the great Way Huge Swollen Pickle. One of the things that I love about many of the Way Huge designs, is that they/Mr. Huge didn't butcher the designs that many of their pedals were akin to. A few tweaks here, and a nip and tuck over there, and then they/he knew when to stop. And they weren't afraid to modernize older designs, in a way that kept the older pedal's blue print crystal clear, but greatly improved it's performance.
So what does The Pickle Pie sound like? It sounds like you sifted through a hundred different Big Muffs, from many different production year's until you found one that had that special something the others didn't have. Then you took it over to best pedal-modder in town, had him/her give the tone knob a good tweak to greatly improve it's performance and usability, as well as a hand-full of other well thought-out mods, and then he/she gave you back the kind of muff you want to sleep with every night. This pedal is just plain awesome.
"So far I would say that your pedal sounds as good if not better
than my old SXXXXXX XXXXX. Excellent job! That pedal is one of the defining
sounds of my band and it'll likely have a place in virtually every song we
record. I'll definitely be buying 1 or 2 more from you very shortly.
Best regards and happy holidays."

My pedal uses the multi-pin chip, employed for it's matched gains and consistancy, just like the old Swollen (it is possible to "fake" this circuit by using ordinary trannys). This is not another souped up Tone Bender, Fuzz Face, or even a Big Muff. I realize that that may seem contradictory to my above statements, but I want you to know that this pickle, is a cousin of the muff, but he's not just a muff on steroids.
Get this pedal, and you'll use it over and over, year after year. I'm not just B.S.ing when I say that you can get so many different fuzz tones outta this box, it's like you bought a bag of bad-ass fuzzers. From the germanium-treble stabs of Yardbirds-era Jeff Beck and his two-tranny Tone Bender, Jimmy Page's meaty-gritty fuzz pedal Zep tones, to The Smashing Pumpkins, Nirvana and Mudhoney's fuzz soaked sonic assaults. I can even get that great, Fuzz Face with the guitar knob rolled back sound that Neil Young is so fond of! One of my Pickle Pie pedals is like having twenty fuzzers in one. Really.

Here are some comments about Wren and Cuff pedals:

"What a pedal!! Creamy smooth to nasty, gritty in your face!! I've had all the boutique pedals and if this was lost or stolen I'd pay double for another!! Truly a jem!!
-Danny Jones/The Danny Jones band. After Danny won a Red Fish Octa-fuzz auction of mine, I checked out his site. I knew I had seen his name before, and then I found out he had been featured in Guitar Player Magazine, under the "Mike Varney's Spotlight" column. That was where I'd seen it! www.dannyjones.net

"Great tone, great pedals!"

Legal stuff: THIS IS NOT A WAY HUGE OR AN ELECTRO-HARMONIX PEDAL. I HAVE NO AFFILIATION WITH "WAY HUGE","MR. HUGE", OR "ELECTRO-HARMONIX" WHATSOEVER. THE "WAY HUGE" AND THE "ELECTRO-HARMONIX" NAMES ARE USED ONLY AS A REFERENCE AND ARE NOT MEANT TO IMPLY ANY AFFILIATION WITH OR CONNECTION TO THEM.
Please listen to the audio clip in it's entirety. There's a lot of me noodling around, but if you listen to it all, you'll really get a sense of what this fuzz can do. I left just the one guitar, so you can hear the Pickle's sound right in your face. All the beginning sounds are done with the fuzz knob set around 12 o'clock. Then you get some different guitar settings etc. Try to listen for when I make the changes on the tone knob. You can hear the dramatic range of the tone pot. Around 1:50 seconds I turn the fuzz to max to let you hear the afore mentioned elephant balls sound.
Recorded using a Tele with Barden blade-style bridge and neck humbuckers, with a Fender Champ-style amp cranked up. An sm-58 straight in, and a touch of compression, and a bit of reverb were the only effects used.
